Plainly

Privacy Policy

Effective September 25, 2026

Who we are

Plainly Claims, LLC ("Plainly", "we") provides client-communication software to firms that handle property insurance claims, such as public adjusting firms and property law firms (each a "Firm"). This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have.

Our role

We provide our service on behalf of Firms. When you are a Firm's client, the Firm decides what information about your claim is shared with you through Plainly and how it is used; we process that information on the Firm's instructions. For questions about your claim or your file, please contact your Firm directly. You can also contact us at the address below.

Information we handle

How we use it

We may use de-identified, aggregated statistics — for example, how long claim stages typically take — to improve the service. These never include message content, names, contact details or any other information that identifies a person.

Text messaging

We send text messages only on behalf of a Firm, only to that Firm's clients, and only to people who have agreed to receive messages about their claim. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for help; a STOP is honored for that Firm's messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We share mobile numbers only with the messaging provider that delivers the messages, and only to deliver them.

Automated assistant

Some Firms turn on an automated assistant that answers questions on your claim page. It is labeled as automated, it answers only from your claim's record and the Firm's approved information, and a person at the Firm can see every conversation. The AI provider we use processes questions to generate answers and is not permitted to use them to train its models.

Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only:

Our service and its data are hosted in the United States.

How long we keep it

Messages and conversations are kept for as long as the Firm uses Plainly, plus 30 days, and then deleted. Records of messages sent and opt-out requests are kept for seven years, so that an opt-out is always honored and we can show what was sent. Sign-in codes expire after 15 minutes.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit, credentials are stored encrypted, and each Firm's data is kept separate from every other Firm's at the database level. No system is perfectly secure, but we design ours to limit who and what can reach your information.

Your choices

You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. To access or correct your information, contact your Firm, which keeps your file; you may also contact us and we will work with the Firm to respond.

Children

Our service is intended for adults involved in insurance claims and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
